On August 25th, the president of the Russian Federation signed an order to increase the number of military personnel in the Russian army to 2 million. The order will enter into force on January 1, 2023.
According to the previous version of the order dated November 17th, 2017, the number of active Russian army personnel was 1 902 758 soldiers and officers.
Such changes may be caused by the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the offensive of the Russian invaders and actively inflict devastating strikes on Russian military bases in the occupied territories.
Reminder: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Great Seven summit (G7) held in July called for all the possible measures to end the war by the end of the year.
