The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro stated that they will support the EU’s general policy of limiting the issuance of tourist visas to Russians. The visa-free regime has existed between the countries since 2008. “Montenegro is a loyal partner of the European Union, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs believes that our country should be in full solidarity with the EU in this decision, as it has been until now,” the ministry said.
On Friday, September 9th, the EU Council finally adopted a decision on the complete suspension of the agreement on the simplification of the visa regime between the EU and Russia.
