Ukraine confidently remains on the path of fulfilling its obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU. Currently, about 70% of the planned conditions have been completed.
The Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna reports that the path to full integration can be quite long. The main challenges for Ukraine are not only the negotiation stage, but also the lack of political clarity regarding further steps. The Deputy Prime Minister explained that Ukraine’s desire for such political clarity is “not political pressure, but providing people with the further meaning for political activity.”
By the end of 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to adopt all laws necessary for the start of negotiations on joining the European Union. The main activity on the European integration path will start in September.
